We’ve pilfered from military archives for the look. Think rigour, discipline, you get the drill! So what does that actually mean, cap’n?

At the very least: three non-negotiables:

• A generous collar with plenty of character that sits just right over a shirt, a t-shirt or tucked neatly under a jacket.
• A Milano knit, keeps the shape in check and serves up a refined, modern feel that lasts.
• The fit is slightly tailored and the double zip lets you open from the top, bottom, or both — as the mood or conditions demand.

Life ain’t easy as a Wool Zipped Jacket. On, off, zipped, unzipped, and back on again… So we’ve made sure that it’s properly up for it and won’t budge an inch:

• 100% virgin wool that doesn't bobble and is fully traceable—right from the sheep to your shoulders. Ironclad quality, guaranteed.
• YKK double zip — the Rolls-Royce of zippers. Play around with it as much as you like, it’s not budging.
• Milano knit for the body, with 1/1 ribbing at the sleeves and hem, so it keeps its shape year in, year out.

To give you an idea, the previous version scored a solid 8.7 out of 10 for durability.

And you’re a pretty demanding bunch, so that’s high praise indeed.

Oh yes, and some

The Wool Zipped Jacket is the understated hero of autumn/winter '24.

Inspired by the C2 Jumper, a military knit developed in the 1940s to stop pilots freezing under their A2 leather bombers.

We’ve opted for set-in sleeves to give it a sharper, more contemporary look.

We’ve also added deep side pockets for cold hands, an overstuffed wallet, or that bunch of keys most of which you never use.

An all-rounder you’ll wear most of the year.

Perfect layered up under a light jacket come spring; thrown on, enjoy a summer sundowner on a breezy evening; works a treat through autumn to deepest winter. It’s versatility, bottled.
